Apposite: adjective meaning highly pertinent, relevant or appropriate.

I’ve been trying to flourish my speech and prose with these new words I’ve been posting. It’s not working as well as I’d hoped — I’ve tried (and failed) to employ borborygmic on at least three occasions. Apposite is a word that sounds highfalutin’, but can easily be thrown into daily conversation.

For example, you might say: I stopped by this blog hoping for an apposite post about politics or the economy trying to raise its meager head, but all I got was this hilarious Day Man clip from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia:
